This large fossilised fish mural and branch dates back to the early Eocene; 50 million years ago. Quarried from the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming, this mural contains various extinct species including Knightia eocaena, Diplomystus dentatus and Priscacara liops.

Fossilised fish plates are like a photograph of the earth’s prehistoric past. This piece is particularly nice as it shows various layers of stone, which are several million layers apart. An extraordinary piece.
